As the 'War against Terrorism' has entered into the second phase through Iraq War. It is now natural for us to imagine who is the next potential target of 'US resolve' to end terrorism from this Globe.
I think Pakistan seems to be a natural choice in spite of being it as a close US ally for many many decades . North Korea does not seems to be an ideal case because it is not an Islamic nation. WaT is essentially against Islam because it is only the doctrine of Islam which can institutionalize the Terrorism to very dangerous proportions.
Law of Karma has its own logic and therefore Pakistan has least scope to go unpunished for its long criminal history against the Humanity since its violent birth in 1947. Pakistan has a dubious distinction of a terrorist state with no parallel with many records of genocides to its credit. Pakistan started terrorism when it was born by butchering millions of innocent Hindus. Next year i.e. 1948 they begin terrorism in Kashmir and captured a part of with the help of a joint mission of its army and terrorists. In 1971 it was the turn of its own subjects in Bangla Desh , who have been butchered and raped by the terrorists army of Pakistan. The atrocities were recorded by the enquiries commissions of Pakistan, which clearly prove a fact that Pakistani Army is just a bunch of terrorists.
In 1980, they started their terrorist activities thru Cross Border Terrorism in India . First it was Punjab , where they failed ultimately and thereafter Kashmir where they sponsored CBT in 1990. Pakistan was so emboldened by its experience of spreading terrorism that it also manipulated US to support the concepts of Talibanisation of Afghanistan . For 10 years Pakistan exported TERRORISM only to its both bordering nations of India & Afghanistan.
If one will total the people killed in all the terrorist operations of Pakistan since 1947 then the figures may exceed the people killed during the second world war. Barring 1947/48 , US had always supported the terrorist activities of Pakistan and faced the punishment in accordance with the Law of Karma on Sept 11,2001. I think the US has learnt its lessons well after this tragedy and showing exemplary resolve and passions to uproot the evil of terrorism from this Globe . It is good to see that US is keeping the scope war confined and civilian casualties are bare minimum. The innovative policies of dropping food packets for innocent civilians besides bombs and missiles for the criminals and terrorists can easily win this WaT for US and humanity very easily.
Although it is very logical for India to punish Pakistan for its crimes like CBT, but US does not prefer such a scenario where threats of a Nuclear war should turn into a reality. Moreover 'China Factor' is also there to the disadvantage of India. But US dependence on Pakistan is decreasing now due to improved relations with India and by having a puppet Govt. in Afghanistan. Continued US blind support to Pakistan for decades has played a key role in spoiling Pakistan , therefore, now it seems to be a moral responsibility of US to make Pakistan a responsible and sane nation. I think US is closely watching the probation of General Musharraf in Pakistan , who has made lot of promises to US after reading clearly the writings on wall.
But 'Bakre ki maa kab tak khair manayegi' . Pakistan& its army is full of terrorist elements. Something may go wrong in Pakistan at any moment to turn Mr. Mushaarraf a helpless person and that will provide an opportunity to US to punish the 'Mother of all Evils'. And then the 'Law of Karma' will ultimately decide the fate of Pakistan
